According to sources, the Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and her Sports Star boyfriend Tony Parker have called it quits and ended their 18-month romance. Though they have not announced it yet, a friend close to the couple confirmed, “Eva decided in the end that Tony was not the right one for her”.

The source also hints that one reason Eva, decided to call off the relationship was their seven-year age difference: “She just decided he’s too young”. Tony Parker is 24, and Eva is 31.

The split comes at an awkward time, the couple had just bought a house together in Los Angeles and they had spent much time together this year renovating a dream home in Texas.

We feel bad for you Eva, why do you first have to date a younger guy and suddenly realize he is too young for you. Be careful the next time you decide to date somebody !!!

Eva Longoria one of the most watched stunning faces on Television has had her own expectations from the TV show Desperate Housewives. When asked if she would have thought of attaining instant success in her role as “Gabby”? Pat came the reply “It was different. I knew it was great, but no, I didn’t. You dream about this but you don’t really expect it”.

Recently she has signed a movie with Christian Bales called “The Harsh Times”. The film is suppose to be dark and by the end of it you would know what it is to kill your best friend. She had made her appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show Friday, where she said Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry had pleaded with his other leading ladies not to get pregnant.

When Degeneres asked Longoria if she was willing to postpone getting married to boyfriend Tony Parke and having a family she said, “It’s just difficult because our work schedule is so crazy. And you know Marcia Cross is pregnant and so Marc Cherry came on the set and he was like, ‘No more pregnancies this year! They’re really hard to write in!’”

October 13^th will be the day when successful Hispanic actress Eva Longoria will be honoured by the HWC (Hispanic Women’s Corporation). Qwest Communications will be sponsoring the appearance of Longoria at a corporate luncheon. The HWC is hosting the 21st National Hispanic Women’s Conference on Oct. 12 &13, at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Earlier, the sexy Latino actress said that she would be concentrating on her career as an actress in mainstream Hollywood films. Not that she doesn’t like the smaller screen, but she needs to make sure that she consolidates her career as a big-budget actress. She plans to stop TV appearances however, only after hit series Desperate Housewives finishes all its seasons.

Talking about the 21^st annual conference for Hispanic women, she said: “I am honored to be part of this important conference that educates and improves the lives of Latinas.” Hector Placencia, director of Hispanic marketing for Qwest, remarked: “We are committed to the Hispanic community and are very proud to bring successful Latina Eva Longoria.”

Eva Longoria is all set to be conferred by the Hispanic Women’s Corporation honours. It is one of the largest Latin Conferences being held in Phoenix. Among the others Julie Stav and Maria Marin are also set the receive above. It will provide leadership and professional development to more than 2,000 participants.

This seems to be a huge responsibilty to shoulder and involves a huge amount of understanding. Just the other day this Latin sensation gifted a huge house on Opera with over the top interiors. This no nonsense girl with a kick ass attitude is all set to involve herself as an inspiration to other Latin gals.

Eva Longoria who is also know as Gabrielle Solis from the T.V drama Desperate Housewives, has decided to concentrate on films. She says, “I would never leave Desperate Housewives. I love doing both (TV and film), but I would never do another TV show after Desperate Housewives.” She plans to be a part of the Desperate Housewives till the series comes to an end. But with the end of this drama, it’s gone be an end of Eva’s career as a TV artist as she is then only gone concentrate on films.

The 31- year-old, who made her mainstream movie debut opposite Michael Douglas in ‘The Sentinel’ earlier this year, is currently filming the third season of the show. Well with her busy schedule, Eva stills find time to make films. Her next feature film role, ‘How I Met My Boyfriend’s Dead Fiancee’, is due in 2007. I really wonder why the next step after TV is always films…guess the grass is always greener on the other side. Eva Longoria has confirmed she will quit TV when ‘Desperate Housewives’ comes to an end. The actress - who plays Gabrielle Solis in the hit US drama - insists she will focus on movies when the hit show runs its course but won’t turn her back on the series before then.
She told: “I would never leave ‘Desperate Housewives’. I love doing both TV and film but I would never do another Tv show after ‘Desperate Housewives’.”The announcement comes just days after Eva revealed she wants to concentate more on the big screen as opposed to TV roles.

She has already starred in two films, ‘The Sentinel’ and ‘Harsh Times’, but is now apparently keen to get more film parts. Eva, 31, explained: “I really want to do more films instead of TV. I want to play strong women. I would love to do a romantic comedy next - I love actors like Vince Vaughan, Jim Carrey, Matthew McConaughey and Hugh Grant.”
