Eva Longoria spent an amazing £35 k on a mammoth-shopping spree before she opened the Harrods Sale.

She was given her own private tour of the swanky Knightsbridge store by owner Mohammed All Fayed.

According to the Mirror, she spent £11,000 on shoes, £12, 000 on handbags and £12,000 on coats.

The star then needed two vans to carry all her purchases back to her hotel.

Eva opened the Harrods Sale yesterday and looked stunning as she posed in a slinky Dolce & Gabbana dress.

She was a girl next door and she became an overnight star with the worldwide success of her show Desperate Housewives.

She said, “There’s no way to find your bearings when fame hits. It’s like a hurricane. I was famous in, like, two seconds. Thank God I was totally grounded before it all happened. I think if you don ‘t know who you are, then you’re suddenly forced to find yourself in this chaos. And you can’t.”

The best part is that she didn’t allow her fame to go to her head and thats how she has her feet firmly placed on the ground.

Eva Longoria seems to be quite proud of what her mum has given her… so much so that she has ruled out all her chances of getting under the knife for cosmetic correction.

She says, “God blessed me with some great, unique features-some beautiful, in my eyes, and some not so beautiful. But I think we are all created this way for a reason, so I have no desire to tamper with that.”

And when asked what about a boob job…if not face, she replied, “I like being small - I’ve known so many women with big boobs who feel overweight or end up with back problems.”

She seems to be absolutely in love with herself… that really adds to her level of confidence

The rumor mill says that Tony Parker has promised to treat his fellow basket ball stars with an exclusive bachelor’s party in celebration of his engagement to the ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria.

As of now he is busy with his game. But the sources say that the bash is supposed to be somewhere around New Year.

Eva Longoria is absolutely delighted to have been asked to open the Harrods winter sale of 2006, which will open to bargain hunters on December 28.

The Desperate Housewives’ superstar will be accompanied by Harrods’ owner Mohammad Al Fayad for opening the world’s most famous department.

“It is such an honor and a privilege to be asked by Mr Al Fayed to join him at the opening of the sale at the world’s most famous department store,” said Longoria.

Eva Longoria is a happily engaged to French basketball star Tony Parker as of now and looking forward for a fairytale wedding for a happily ever after life (the Cinderella style). And what better venue than a French castle to add that old world charm to the fairytale wedding.

Longoria, who plans to get married to Parker on July 7th next year, wants the nuptials in France given that Parker was brought up there.

“Eva really wanted to get married in France. It’s a beautiful country, a country of love and a place that is very special for us. It’s important to her that we get married there,” Parker was quoted in media reports as saying.

It is revealed that the ring is a masterpiece by Beverly Hills jewellery designer Jean Dousset,it boasted of impressive 247 accenting diamonds.

“Marcia (Cross) and Felicity (Huffman) and I are really, really close. Telling them was really exciting! Marcia came into my trailer and Tony was with me. She was like, ‘Tony, what are you doing here?’ And then she looks at my hand and goes ‘Aaaaah!’ She let out the biggest scream. We were laughing so hard,” reveals a so-obviously excited Eva.

“I said, ‘Is something wrong? Is she crying? What’s the matter?’ So I called going, ‘Eva, are you okay, honey?’ And she went, ‘I’m engaaaaged!’”, recalled Felicity who was really happy for her best friend and co-star.

Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria was touched by the way French Basketball heartthrob Tony Parker proposed to her. She confessed that she was so emotionally moved and eager to say yes.

“I cried my eyes out,” Eva said. “I was mostly touched by how nervous he was. I was like, ‘You know I’m going to say yes. Why are you so nervous?’ But I guess every man gets nervous at that point.”

She said she was equally excited to tell her friends i.e her ‘Desperate Housewives’ co-stars about her engagement to Parker. “Marcia and Felicity and I are really, really close,” she said regarding her co-stars Felicity Hoffman and Marcia Cross. “Telling them was really exciting!”

Longoria and Parker are planning to get married next July in France. We hope that they last that long!!!
